Scandinavian fashion evokes images of leggy blondes sporting simple, unfussy outfits. Safe to say the Swedish House of Dagmar fits the stereotype pretty well, so you won’t want to miss our exclusive live stream of their latest SS16 collection straight from Stockholm this Tuesday.

Set up by three sisters in 2005 (and who doesn’t love a family affair?) the brand started as a knitwear line, but soon grew to include full capsule collections. They were awarded the Swedish Fashion Council’s inaugural Rookie of the Year Award the year they started, and Brand of the Year by Swedish Elle in 2006. Kristina Tjäder heads up design, her older sister Karin Söderlind takes care of PR, and the youngest sister Sofia Wallenstam has a sales background. Keeping it in the family, the name of the fashion house comes from their grandmother who was a tailor and inspired their love of fashion. Together they have grown Dagmar beyond Sweden and the house is still as relevant on their tenth birthday as when they started – Swedish Elle have just named them Designer of the Year again.
