Woolmark prize-winners Public School and M.PATMOS are set to launch in major retailers globally. Last year the two brands won the 2014/15 International Woolmark Prize for menswear and womenswear respectively for their Merino wool capsule collections. From the end of this month these collections will be available globally, specifically from Harvey Nichols in London.

The inaugural menswear prize was awarded in January in London, with a panel that included Paul Smith and Tim Blanks. The womenswear ceremony followed in March in Beijing, with the likes of Victoria Beckham and Vogue China Editor-in-Chief Angelica Cheung. The Public School for Woolmark collection was inspired by a lost tribe surviving in a landscape with only wool available, mixing streetwear and sportswear. The M.PATMOS collection forms a travel wardrobe with earthy tones that the designer intended to be at home on Madison Avenue or Machu Picchu.

Anita Barr, Group Buying Director at Harvey Nichols has said: “We are proud to be long standing supporters of the International Woolmark Prize, it means a great deal to our brand and enables us to nurture the inspiring talent that is out there. I was blown away by the designers’ application to Merino wool this year, what they have produced is truly outstanding.”

Both prize-winning collections will be available at Harvey Nichols from 29 September. Public School’s collection comprises of woollen leggings, sweaters and vests, and M.PATMOS offers hats, layers, and blanket cover-ups.
