Proenza Schouler have launched an exclusive collection of their handbags: PS Pins. As the name suggests, the bags are made of perforated leather which allows pin badges to be attached. The collection launches today on Net-a-Porter and includes the PS1, the Bucket, and the Lunch bag in four different colours.

The range was launched at the label’s pop-up in Japan, and features a set of enamel letter and number pin badges that can be used to customise the bags. To show off how kawaii the pins are, they have created an animated video by Alejandro Cardenas and Six Point Harness that you can watch above.

The fashion industry is becoming increasingly preoccupied with personalisation, in a bid to get closer to the customer. Burberry are a prime example, with their "My Burberry" campaign and the personalised scarf bar just opened. Proenza Schouler’s Pin Project allows customers to style their own bags, but pins mean that the look can be changed at a whim. Think Pinterest, but in real life. How novel.

PS Pins are available today from Net-a-Porter, Proenza Schouler's stores and website.
