Inspired by everything from social networks to street art, video games to art deco, Lacoste’s classic polo shirt gets a 20th century makeover with the help of couture embroiderer Lesage. Eighty shirts have been intricately detailed, adorned with pearls, plexiglas and 3D inlays. Oversized polo shirts and mini polo dresses reveal humourous hashtags and playful slogans from ‘Fair play’ to ‘René did it first’, picking up on what came down the Lacoste runway in February. Showcased for the first time at the The Reality Show Magazine exhibition, the couture polo shirts will be available to order from July and sold at Dover Street Market, London.
