We love Glossier, the beauty company started by Emily Weiss from her successful beauty-website-turned-Mecca, Into The Gloss. We had thought our obsession might stop at Glossier’s Phase 1 skincare products; the Perfecting Skin Tint and Milky Jelly Cleanser were true innovations. However, in March this year Weiss and the Glossier team introduced a capsule collection of makeup essentials that stay true to their “skincare first” mantra. The collection comprises the iconic Boy Brow – a tinted brow pomade in three shades – a new line of four lipsticks called Generation G and an incredible Stretch Concealer, available in five shades. (Shades which, we should add, are providing for darker skin tones.)

We have long dreamed of a concealer the consistency of Glossier’s Stretch Concealer, it is perfectly blendable, smooth and creamy, absorbing beautifully into the skin without any cakey-flakey dryness. It’s a concealer that is leading us into the realms of hyperbole but for very good reason. The Generation G lipsticks are the perfect meeting of lipstick and tinted lip balm, with a pigment that stays true to every skin tone – our favourite shade is Crush a pinkish berry-red. And oh boy do we love Boy Brow for is fluffing, conditioning and shaping properties. Now, Phase 3, where art thee?

Glossier‘s Balm Dotcom is currently available at Net-a-Porter. Glossier's full range is currently only available in the US from their website.
